Quadra Fire Pellet Stoves: When Should You Choose One?

Most people know about Quadra fire pellet stoves -- yet many folks do not understand the difference between a pellet fireplace, a pellet stove, a pellet fireplace insert. Further, they do not understand when they should choose one over the other. In this brief article we will attempt to discover the difference!

A regular pellet fireplace is something relatively new in the experience of most people. They are great when you have the opportunity to install a fireplace in a brand-new home, or in a home with a totally rebuilt fireplace area.

A pellet stove -- such as a Quadra fire pellet stove, us usually free-standing. This means that it does not need to be embedded into an existing wall -- it can be located in the middle of the room somewhere, with the exhaust pipe adjusted for the location of the pellet stove.

A Quadra fire pellet stove will usually be equipped with insulating material that is placed under the pellet stove unit, which will insulate your expensive floor from the tremendous heat generated by these units.

One of the great things about Quadra fire pellet stoves is that they come in several different sizes/capacities -- so you can purchase one that is just the right size for your needs.

Another thing that we like about the Quadra is that it is available in both traditional cast-iron as well as contemporary designs. This is very important if you are trying to choose a pellet-burning stove that matches your existing (or planned) room decor.

Using Quadra fire pellet stoves is easy too -- because they can be conveniently controlled via a wall-installed thermostat, and they can even be operated by remote-control -- great when you are comfy-cozy with a loved one and just don't want to be bothered to get up and walk across the room on a cold winter's night.

If, on the other hand, you have an existing fireplace -- but one that is unreliable and not energy-efficient, then what you want is not a Quadra fire pellet stove -- but a fireplace insert as well. They are called "inserts" because the unit is simply inserted into the fireplace area of your old fireplace. They are great when you want to convert that old fireplace into something more energy-efficient. And if you don't have a fireplace at all, you can still have a Quadra installed as an insert directly into your wall -- or even into a cabinet mantel in your room!

We hope that this information will help you when you go shopping for your next fireplace or stove -- and again, we recommend that you look into the Quadra model of fire pellet stoves if you are looking for a reliable model that will give you many years of trouble-free operation.
